Tokenomics Deep Dive
Staking functions as a key component for users seeking to subsidize transactions within the Kosmos ecosystem. Through a carefully designed threshold system, stakers are incentivized to commit larger amounts, with higher stakes resulting in more substantial transaction subsidies. Below is a brief overview of the different staking thresholds and the respective rewards users can expect from this mechanism:
Staking Tier 1: 1 - 1,000 $KOS: Subsidizes 5% of fee
Staking Tier 2: 1,000 - 10,000 $KOS: Subsidizes 25% of fee
Staking Tier 3: 10,000 - 100,000 $KOS: Subsidizes 50% of fee
Staking Tier 4: 100,000+ $KOS: Subsidizes 80% of fee
The duration of the staking commitment is also important and directly correlates with the potential rewards users can garner. Users can receive $AMB by staking the $KOS they currently own. The rewards rates change seasonally, but affect the users overall engagement rewards. This seasonally fluctuating system allows users to tailor their commitment based on their desired level of engagement, ensuring flexibility while maximizing reward potential.
Cyclical rewards are granted to $KOS stakers, as a treasury subsidies in $AMB. At launch this will be distributed out to $KOS holders essentially allowing them to freely purchase bonds at seasonal intervals, as a reward for their usage of the marketplace.
Finally, staking $KOS doesn't just earn rewards; it grants users a powerful voice in the governance of Kosmos. The more $KOS staked, the greater the influence over fee structures and operational policies. This democratic governance model ensures that the community actively shapes the trajectory of the platform. More information on this will be available at a future date.
